Event hosting

with thoughtfulness
and insight

More than just an event host, simon will bring humour, energy and engagement to your next event

Over the last few years our expectation of event hosts and emcees has shifted dramatically. In the past they just needed to introduce the next speakers (generally by reading a pro forma bio), now they are more akin to a TV show host. They are responsible for bringing and maintaining the energy in the room, guiding the enquiry of the audience through insightful interaction with guests and they still need to be able to keep the event on track.

Simon is an experienced and engaging event host who works across Australia and New Zealand. Over the last few years he has also built a successful online event business called Pirate TV. Through this Simon has developed extensive knowledge of virtual events and when he’s not on the road he works out of a fully equipped studio to ensure  both the quality and reliability of his online content.

As a strategist and futurist with deep experience in leadership and management Simon is particularly suited to hosting business and industry events. His inquisitive nature and breadth of interests means he is comfortable engaging with even the most experienced leaders and the most technical of content.

Simon ideally likes to get involved early in the event planning process so he can share his expertise on how to bring your events to life. If you’re seeking a thoughtful and dynamic event host for your next event please get in touch.
